White Crowned Sparrow Juvenile White Crowned Sparrow-Zonotrichia leucophrys Juvenile White Crowned Sparrow-Zonotrichia leucophrys, Family EMBERIZIDAE. First Winter juvenile. Diagnostics: Rusty cap, basically clear breast and No "Tie tack" on the chest! Top of head with two broad black stripes, separated by a broad white crown stripe. Eyebrow stripe white, bordered in front by black crown stripe. A winter resident. Summers in Canada.
