Landing Zone White Pelicans American White Pelicans- Pelecanus erythrorhynchos I know--It's not Ohio but I thought you'd like to see this anyway. On a recent trip to Hurricane Katrina devastated SE Louisiana, we visited Big Branch Marsh along the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain. The marsh was heavily damaged. Yet, birds were everywhere!
