    American Bittern- Botaurus lentiginosus
    American Bittern- Botaurus lentiginosus-Order Ciconiiformes-Family Ardeidae. The American Bittern was seen by Will Shepherd ( a Northwest High School Senior) on April 17 2005 and Jeff Davis.  It was photographed in a swamp forest on Bunnell Road in Warren County just west of St. Rt. 42 (about 1/4 of a mile south of the heron rookery that Hays Cummins photographed last year).  .... Jeff Davis used a SONY F717 with a 1.7X teleconverter.
